Funeral Parade of Roses/Funeral Procession of Roses - 1969

A film by Toshio Matsumoto and Stanley Kubrick’s favorite film and also a hugh inspiration to “A Clockwork Orange”(set design/costume design-wise, mainly). And as most people know, A Clockwork Orange was more of the grindhouse/gritty film compared to his other films, which was what “Funeral Parade of Roses” was: a grindhouse-y film and the film had a gritty feel to it, while still being an arthouse film. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you are interested in seeing one of Kubrick’s favorite films and just checking out a lost masterpiece.
